Every girl's dream

I've watched the Royal Wedding in full -twice- and even after the first run, it still gave me goosebumps all over my body. I was never a follower of their love story and neither was I a big fan of royalties but like every other girl out there, I've always dreamed of one day marrying my prince. I suppose it's a result of Disney overdose while growing up but who can blame me?

What Manny Pacquiao fights mean to the men is the equivalent of the Royal Wedding to women. Every woman I know held viewing parties or stayed on-line watching the blow-by-blow account of the occasion. It's like watching a romance movie unravel with the world waiting patiently for the commoner to marry off the prince. My personal watch-out for moment? The look on the groom's face when he sees his bride for the first time.

According to sources, Prince William whispered these words to Catherine upon seeing her in the church for the first time: "You look beautiful, I love you"
Ladies, we can all swoon in chorus now.

Catherine arrived in a Rolls Royce as a mere commoner (well, a rich commoner that is) and departed the Westminster Abbey as a Royalty in a carriage. Growing up, did she ever think that she would one day become a Duchess? Did her parents ever realize that they were breeding the future Queen of England? And we thought stories like this were only available in the fiction section of bookstores. We women love this story because it's a proof that fairy tales after all, can come true.

Now, we do understand the level of difficulty involved in scoring a royalty but women are not asking for that much. We're not waiting for a prince by blood to come sweep us off our feet, what we're waiting for is that one man whose arms will serve the safest place in the world for us even without a shining armor. That one man who's not afraid to tell the world that they love us in marriage, the ultimate declaration of love. The love story of William and Catherine just illustrated to women all over the globe what every girl deserves: her own prince.

And now presenting the world's most eligible bachelor after the fairy tale wedding:

I did say that women aren't looking for a prince by blood, but Prince Harry can come knocking on my door anytime.

On a lighter side, I got this off the internet. I found it a little mean but since we're on the topic of fairy tales...

According to a website, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice looked like the stepsisters in Cinderella. I actually loved Beatrice's fascinator, it's so Lady Gaga!

It has been said that you are not allowed to look more beautiful than the bride on her wedding day. Not cool, David. You just upstaged the Duchess.
